Michael Contreras from the Catalyst[1] team is hosting a Webinar[2] this morning at 11:00 AM PDT. He will be answering questions about the Catalyst program which has:
* A Demo Day in SF (Galvanize SOMA[3]) on May 14
* An Application Deadline for the next round in June

In short, Catalyst is run twice a year by the Energy Department's Solar Energy Technology Office (aka SunShot Initiative[4]) with five $100K cash prizes each time.
